Deepak Massand, Chairman and CEO
Mr. Massand founded Litéra in early 2000 and has led the company from its start-up beginnings to its current status as the international leader in Document Change Management and workflow collaboration solutions.
Prior to starting Litéra, Mr. Massand had 25 years of senior management experience, most recently as the President and CEO of Merz Pharmaceuticals, the US subsidiary of a German Company, that grew from a regional to a national corporation under his stewardship. He also spent thirteen years with Johnson and Johnson (Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical), where he served in various senior management positions, including Executive Director.
Mr. Massand began his career in management positions at the largest tea producing company in the world (James Finlay Ltd.), and later as the CEO of a fashion house (Vogue of London).
Karen Kenefick-Massand, President, Litéra Consulting
Ms. Kenefick-Massand is responsible for the consulting division of Litéra, as well as overseeing commercialization strategy and execution at the company.
Prior to co-founding Litéra, Ms. Kenefick served in a variety of senior executive roles at technology companies. Most recently she served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Salem Health Solutions, where she helped the company to complete development, commercialize their products and ultimately sell the company.
Previously, she served as a senior executive for healthcare solutions provider, Skila, Inc., where she held several key positions including Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Corporate Development and Vice President of Sales, helping the Company from start-up through four rounds of financing, tripling the size of the company and assisting it to profitability.
Prior to Skila, Ms. Kenefick managed US Business Development for the world’s largest pharmaceutical sales force automation software company, Dendrite.
Before entering the software arena, Ms. Kenefick spent five years with Johnson and Johnson in pharmaceutical sales, sales management and training. She started her career as a news anchor and manager for CBS and NBC.

Kelly Igou, Vice President Sales
Mr. Igou is responsible for product sales for Litéra, as well as operating the non-affiliated professional services delivery organization, Litéra Services Corp.
Kelly came to Litéra after a 30-year career in information technology, holding various sales, operations and professional services roles at the information technology giant, McKesson, and professional services firm, Deloitte Consulting.
W. David Winslow, Director of Technical Infrastructure
Mr. Winslow serves as the director of technical infrastructure for Litéra. He is responsible for all production, internal and development systems.
Prior to joining Litéra, Mr. Winslow managed the network consulting practice of A&V Company. Mr. Winslow is well known as the co-founder of one of the first fifty Microsoft Authorized Web Hosting providers in the world.
Mr. Winslow is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet, and a Red Hat Certified Engineer.
