Leonard Provided Some Personal Insight, Stating:
Brief Opening Statement: I am honored to be recognized by my peers and Business North Carolina. I am further honored and thankful to work with so many talented individuals at Litéra.
General: 31; born in Bristol, Tennessee; bachelor’s degree from N.C. State University and law degree from Elon University; wife and a golden retriever.
Memorable Case: Immediately after law school, I worked in private practice. One of the first cases I assisted on involved a driving while impaired charge. The case is not memorable because of the outcome or the client – but rather who else was in the courtroom, my twin brother. At the time, he was working for a law enforcement agency and assigned to the same county in which my case was held. I will never forget the look of confusion on the face of everyone involved, even my client, when we were standing side by side!
Passions: My family, sports (football, basketball, baseball), and cooking.
Favorite Place: There’s no place like home.
Hero: My parents. Without a doubt, had it not been for my parents I would not be where I am today. They always encouraged me to go after my dreams, and re-assured me that I was capable of doing anything that I set my mind too.
