With Litéra EKTA®, you longer need to go through the tedious process of constantly logging in to separate accounts and remembering which file is in which repository. You now have singularity where all repositories can cohabitate and communicate. All of this is delivered in a brand-new device agnostic User Interface (UI) that focuses directly on ease, uniformity, and consistency.

Each offering has decided which best practices fits their niche market, and caters their workflow to meet their needs. This leads to a pressing problem with creating a single view.

By standardizing a few of the basic UI design elements we have dramatically simplified how you view, add, search, share, and organize files, folders and repositories in Litéra EKTA®. This design thoughtfully blends the functionality, and the interface, to create a common sense workflow that any consumer platform can immerse in comfortably.
So how can the interface transform the way businesses and consumers work with documents and files in the cloud? A quick walk-through introduction will be the best way to get a taste of what’s new and improved in Litéra EKTA®.
Once logged-in, you are greeted with a simple three-step tutorial; this summarizes the platform to get you started faster. From there, you can familiarize yourself with the intuitive interface optimized for all web browsers and mobile devices and condensed into five functional areas.
1. My View
All your virtual files and folders are easily accessible and organizable from “My View.” In this central viewpoint you have the option to alternate between tile format and list view of all your files and folders. Switching layouts makes it easier to view from any format, be it desktop or mobile.
From here you can share files with your review team, collaborate on a group of files from multiple resources, and audit control of all your documents from each respective cloud provider. You have the power to convert your files to PDF, clean metadata, compare versions, and view the info and log associated with files and folders.
2. Adding Files and Repositories
Adding and organizing is a simple and intuitive process from a single location in the new UI. On the top left corner of the display, you’ll notice the blue “Add” button. Clicking the button opens a concise dropdown menu, prompting you to either add a new folder, import an external file/folder, or add a new repository. It’s really that easy.
3. Search Files
The search function is twofold; you can perform a local search of the contents added and organized your account, or you can perform an external search into any repository linked to your account.To search for local folders and files organized within your account, type your query into the Search Bar, located at the top of the dashboard view, and press enter.
To perform an in-depth search of the external repositories linked to your account, select the arrow at the far-right end of the search bar, and a dropdown menu will appear, prompting you to select an account. The search options will change dynamically to reflect the respective provider’s filter schema.
4. The Functions Bar
Functions in the new UI streamline the platform’s abilities to make it more mobile-friendly and improve the user experience overall. The functions bar on the upper righthand side of the dashboard provides easy access to the same functions available when clicking the dot menu on individual files and folders.
Grouping the function options into one location helps you work more efficiently, saving you the extra time it would take to clean the metadata in a document, convert it, and send or share it with your team.
From end-to-end, whether it’s sharing your files, with an external reviewer or collaborating with a global team on a sensitive matter, you can upload new versions directly to the platform, compare against the previous version, clean the metadata, convert to PDF, and package your content for distribution.
Need skinny Knowledge Management? Within the info panel you have the option of color coordinating folders and writing brief folder/file summaries for easier collaboration when sharing, and optimizing your personal organizational experience.
5. The Menu
On the left side of screen (below the Add Button) you will find the side bar or Menu. The Menu allows you to adjust the top-level display of “My View” to quickly and easily access your shared files, recent files shared with you, repositories, and search history.
