A legal department adopts AI to keep more work in-house and bring external spend down. Its law firms adopt AI to deliver faster and protect margin. Both are right. Neither pilot survives contact with the other's risk threshold. A senior in-house leader and a law firm counterpart sit on opposite sides of that handoff. Over 45 minutes they'll work through it in the open:
- Where AI Should Act, and Where a Person Must Review: drawing the line on the work that carries real consequence
- What Evidence Each Side Needs: what a department requires before relying on an external output, and what a firm can reasonably show
- Who Owns Governance at the Seam: roles, audit trails, and accountability when two organisations share one workflow
- How to Measure Value Both Ways: time saved, spend reduced, and a relationship that deepens rather than commoditises
