Gumbert Brings Over 20 Years in Technology Marketing and Executive Leadership

CHICAGO, January 15 - Litera, a global leader in legal technology solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Gumbert as Chief Marketing Officer. Gumbert is an industry-recognized marketing and business executive with a proven track record of exceeding growth objectives in both rapidly expanding and Fortune 500 companies. She will report directly to Litera CEO Avaneesh Marwaha.

Known for blending her engineering and quantitative expertise with her business acumen and creative vision, Gumbert has a passion for products that empower customers and deliver tangible value. In her new role, Gumbert will lead a diverse global marketing team, driving Litera's continued growth and innovation while uniting their ecosystem of products under a single, powerful brand.

Previously, Gumbert served as Chief Marketing Officer at SmartBear, where she focused on innovation and industry advancement, and brand transformation to position the company for growth and market leadership. Prior to SmartBear, she held marketing leadership roles at CA Technologies (now Broadcom) and Dell, as well as at fast-growing private technology companies, including in the legal tech market where she repeatedly supported double- and triple-digit growth. Beyond her marketing leadership, she is actively involved in promoting women in technology.

Last year, Gumbert and the marketing team she led were the recipients of several prestigious awards, including Women in Content Marketing Awards, APPEALIE SaaS Marketing Leader Award, and Gartner Marketing and Communications Award for Excellence in Brand and Reputation Management, among others.

Gumbert holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from MIT, a master’s degree from Tufts University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
