CHICAGO, August 5 – Litera, a global leader in legal technology solutions, today announced its final Road to ILTACON product news with market-leading enhancements to its Foundation Platform firm intelligence suite, which now enables partners, lawyers, and business services professionals to access consolidated client, matter, contact, firm people, relationship, and experience data through a new Outlook interface. These enhancements are part of Litera One, the unified, AI-powered interface integrated with Microsoft 365 and grounded in Litera One.
Litera’s Foundation Platform includes robust features such as experience management, deal and case insights, customer relationship management, enterprise relationship management, e-marketing, matter scoping and pricing, as well as client, matter, and attorney financial analytics. With this latest update, Litera has combined both critical client information from its CRM with unparalleled matter insights from its experience management platform to deliver a 365-degree firm view, right where legal professionals work today. Litera One allows firms to leverage this critical firm intelligence throughout the Microsoft stack, in a truly integrated manner.
“With the latest wave of innovations across our Foundation Platform and the introduction of Lito, Litera is once again redefining what’s possible for legal technology,” said Litera CEO Avaneesh Marwaha. “By empowering legal professionals with unified, AI-driven tools seamlessly embedded in their daily workflows, we're not only accelerating productivity but also setting a new standard for firm intelligence. These enhancements—launched on the eve of ILTACON—are creating real industry buzz and building unstoppable momentum as firms look to embrace the future of legal work.”
Previously siloed in standalone systems and often out of reach from partners and lawyers, Foundation’s powerful new feature in Outlook unlocks how firms can better leverage firm experience to grow their business and deliver exceptional client service. On average, knowing how to answer the question "what is our experience with this type of matter?" could take multiple hours and a team of people. Today, that answer is available in seconds at the lawyer’s fingertips in Outlook.
Litera also recently announced Lito, its powerful AI legal agent embedded into Litera One, on July 23. Lito launches with powerful integrations into the Foundation Platform, with firm experience search. This allows firms to search firm experience, in natural language, using Lito embedded in Litera One Outlook and Litera One Web, with search history available across both interfaces. As part of Litera One for Outlook, Lito can also be configured to proactively answer firm experience questions. For example, if a client emails a firm asking for a breakdown of the firm’s M&A experience related to gaming assets, Lito can review the email, understand that the context is experience related and proactively deliver the matters and firm people with that exact experience, right within Outlook. Searching and leveraging firm experience has never been easier.
Revolutionary enhancements to the Foundation 365 ecosystem include:
- Data integration between Foundation and Foundation 365, formally Foundation Peppermint, for perfectly synced client and matter records across CRM and experience management. These features will be generally available in Q4 2025.
- AI powered ‘what’s market’ insight from firm’s experience directly in Litera One for Word, as part of powerful Litera Draft updates.
- AI powered language translation of firm matter descriptions (Foundation Narratives).
- AI powered matter task and time data from Foundation Scoping directly embedded within the Foundation Matter interface to deliver an accurate work breakdown report based on what lawyers actually did on the matter, using time card data.
- New litigation document support as part of Foundation Insights, to AI extract critical experience data from litigation documents.
- Support for custom deal points (either firm provided or Litera managed) as part of Foundation Insights, alongside Litera’s robust set of out of the box deal points.
- Modern sleek new user interface enhancements to Foundation Marketing, Foundation Finance and Foundation Scoping.
